It’s for the children. Just like why wu tang. - j.boyd919
The albums Enter the Wu-Tang 36 Chambers and Wu-Tang Forever have gotten a lot of fvcking listens from this guy. Love that sh!t. I was one of the first people in Newfoundland to own Forever. Showed up to Sam the Record Man right as they were opening the day it came out. First 50 people to buy it got a Wu Tang Forever towel.

thats awesome. I remember when forever came out. I bought it from the record exchange in squirrel hill when I was like 13. Mom heard me listening to it like that day or the next, saw that it was parental advisory, and forced me to go back to the record store, with her, and demanded they accept it as a return because they shouldn't have sold it to a minor. damn was I embarrassed...anyway, I went back the next day and bought it again and made sure not to play it when mom was in ear shot hahaha
Oh and I saw Wu tang here in pgh at metropol I believe around the age of 14, only time I got to see ODB!

I saw Wu-Tang, Busta Rhymes, and Nas in concert a few months ago. Wu Tang was awful lol Method wasn't even there, they had ODB's son "trying" to do ODBs part but he was brutal too. Busta was dope but he only did a few songs as he was like a "special guest" and Nas rocked the house, that dude is still one of the best in the game.
So NHL viewership is down 20%.....not surprising. Its not a great product for many reasons. I watch maybe a game every other week at this point. We ditched our season tiks. I can't point to a single thing but the product just isn't what it was.

From a TV POV, the NHL sold its soul with the new TV deal. They needed to do it because the NHL was too dependent on gate revenue, but when you do things like blackout games, not space games out over the week (AKA 15 games on Tuesday and 1 on Wednesday), not focus on rivals/stars, streaming games only, and routinely start games 15-20 minutes later than advertised, it takes a toll on viewership. The NHL has easily the worst product in the major US sports despite being the best sport.
To me, any time McDavid is playing in the eastern time zone against a team of note, put him on ESPN or TNT. Any time Matthews is playing someone notable, same thing. The NHL was lucky to have its two generational talents not only play in the eastern US, but play on key rivals of each other. That led to a lot of viewership. The league needs Bedard to go to the eastern US.

Or you could just allow fighting and more reckless violence to creep back into the game.

I agree. I don't care for two knuckledraggers having a staged fight, but poop like this needs to make a comeback:
Edit: I HATED Matthew Barnaby, and that was part of what made him so fun to play against. And he never ran away, he always answered the bell and he never backed away. Guys like him and Sean Avery, you just wanted to see somebody smoke them, so it was always must watch.

I think one of the factors is all the concussion awareness and therefore attention to head shots and rule changes for head shots. A lot of times head shots = hot heads...hot heads haha take things out on each other. Boarding can have similar effect...and overall the players just arnt as aggressive and like this in general anymore.

I mean in Crosbys early days getting roughed up by Hatcher and battling through it....Its what made hockey great. I hated/loved the flyers because f that. you knew it would be a scrappy game.
Key moments in the 00's where with Talbot, Asham and Kunitz....those days are long gone.

yeah, that's part of what I was getting at with "and overall the players just arnt as aggressive and like this in general anymore."
As for the concussion awareness/head shot stuff it goes right on down to the youngest levels. Hockey players are groomed a bit differently now. - MattStrat
Too many skills coaches and not enough teaching kids how to make devastating clean hits. When I coached HS hockey we wanted our team to be physical and actively taught proper techniques.

Yeah I agree...pretty sure Hockey Canada made it so that hitting wasnt allowed in any leagues under bantam age like 15 years ago as well…a lot of kids start playing in the 5 to 7 year old age range...but they dont learn anything about hitting until 10 years later and a few years after that they're draft elgible..so hitting in any sense, whether it be properly giving/receiving or just when to do it/not to to do it isnt engrained in their brains like it was years ago.
